Handoff Plan

We intend to give our client our GitHub repository, setup and installation instructions for launching the application, and other documentation such as the client manual. The client will be added as a collaborator to the repository, and the ownership of the repository will be transferred. This means that as a collaborator, they will have access to edit the entire project and the ability to add new collaborators for any future team if they were to take over the project.

In addition to these resources, we will discuss future plans with the client and their ideas on continuing the project for future semesters. We will propose ways to improve the project by perhaps adding more requirements and/or integrating it with other existing projects to create an integrated solution for hiring different types of Assistants (not just RAs).

Since some of the software and tools we used require a time-consuming and technical background, we plan on setting up a hand-off appointment with the client to install the project into their environment and ensure it runs properly.

As part of the project handoff, the following tasks must be completed to ensure a seamless transition and full functionality of the application:

  1. Populate Faculty User Data: Pre-populate the Faculty User data before sharing the application with students. This is a one-time setup task necessary for initial deployment.
  2. Add Payment Method to Firebase: A payment method must be added to Firebase to enable required functionalities, as Firebase mandates a payment method even if usage does not exceed the free quota.
  3. Add Admin Users: Configure and add admin users to manage and oversee the platform effectively.
  4. Transfer Firebase Access: Transfer ownership and grant full access to the Firebase project to the client for independent management and control of the platform.

Completing these tasks promptly will ensure a smooth handoff and readiness for use.
